Blogging to Improve Your Business

Comments/questions

Why should you blog?
In the blogosphere, small businesses can play with the big players. A large corporation and a small business have the same stature on the Internet. If you have something worthwhile to say, and you blog, you will find an audience—and more importantly, a market.

In 2004, when Howard Dean used the Internet and social networking to raise unprecedented funds and organize grassroot supporters, he changed forever
the way political campaigns are waged. Any candidate who could not use the Internet effectively in the following elections, were soon left by the
wayside. Barack Obama was a master of using the Internet to organize his base. Now, the President's weekly address is posted on YouTube.

Re-defining your community
Internet communities, by blogging, are bonding through relationships of friends and relatives, and also through common interests, values and expertise. A business can blog information on its own site, or just microblog information about news, movies, products, and events it wants to promote through social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. A blog can be just a response to a comment, or longer, journaled posts (like this one), directed to readers interested in your business. Blogging should be done regularly, so people begin to recognize you and can check in to see what you have to say.

Blogging through social networking sites is the most direct way to let existing and potential net-savvy customers know what is happening in your business, and the most direct way for those customers to let you know what they want, or like, and will buy. You have the advantage of reacting and adjusting quickly to your market. Blogging is like word-of-mouth on steroids!

Re-inventing your business model
In 2006, Time Magazine named “You” as Time’s Person of the Year. “You” were the bloggers who were re-inventing the way we interact with the world.

You cannot turn on a television, or read a newspaper, without hearing about twitter or many other social networking sites. It is a given that business needs to blog to be successful in this digital world. But businesses take time and effort to run. You don’t have the time to be blogging all day—that’s where Blog Me Everywhere©™ comes in. We will blog for your business on a consistent schedule to keep your business presence fresh and interesting. Keep your loyal customers coming back, spread the word that you are here, and draw new customers to your business.
